Professional draftsman technique to improve yourself and better build your drawings

Here is the article that will teach you how to frame better and compose an image

The principles to remember to progress in drawing and find ideas.

Whether you want to learn Drawing or painting, the work habit I’m going to tell you about today is simple. It is directly to the preparatory sketching. Taking the example of painting lessons, most amateur practitioners embark on a significant format realization by following a photo model or a live model. They begin the construction of the sketch directly on the canvas without having studied the model first. It is a classic mistake, but yet something to be avoided at all costs.

The importance of study when learning to draw or paint

When it comes to portrait or mapping, I know that many of you are tempted to cut corners because you think that a successful job depends mainly on the technique of painting or Drawing for Kids itself. However, we tend to minimize the preparation work to achieve a result as quickly as possible.

If we are talking about art history in the broad sense, let’s not forget that the most excellent painters multiplied preparatory sketches before making a work. The final creation itself was often the culmination of a long research process. As a beginner, it is, therefore, more than essential to apply this principle. There are, however, several ways to do this.

Professional tips for making effective preparatory sketches

First of all, you don’t have to start by drawing in a large format. Because you will waste your time-solving problems related to the difference in scale between your model and your support. When studying a subject or wanting to create it, it is essential to work first on the framing and composition.

The proper technique is to draw small by creating thumbnails. This principle will allow you first to test different framing types and find the most impactful image. If you draw from a model, you will have already studied and therefore identified the main points causing your problems. And very often, this series of preparatory drawings will have enabled you to research and resolve these difficulties more easily. Your final creation will therefore be much more fluid to achieve and therefore of much better quality.

I’m not taking many risks telling you that putting this work habit in place will make you take a giant leap forward.

To conclude with a positive tip, don’t be in too much of a hurry! We often learn a lot more by multiplying the tests than by spending hours on a single drawing and by trying at all costs to detail it.

Fourth exhibition to learn to draw and share our passion

So that the video is not too long, I limited the gallery to around forty participants, which is already much more than for the other editions. But, of course, for those of you who don’t see your drawings or paintings in this video, don’t worry, you will be part of the next exhibition.

So much for this fourth edition which reflects the motivation and work of each of the participants. A big thank you to all!!

I know that for some of you new to it, deciding to release your creation for the first time is not always easy. But I encourage you to do it, whatever your level, because it’s always fun to share your results with other enthusiasts.

Whether you are part of a drawing class or practicing alone at home, observing what others are doing and showing off what you are doing can only motivate you in practicing your art discipline.

What I have received is once again very varied and accessible, and this is also what makes these galleries so interesting. Therefore, I did not wish to give a specific theme to these Exhibitions because I prefer to leave you completely free to be as imaginative and creative as possible.
