Kubes has a wide selection of antique and vintage jewelry to meet all your needs. Whether you are looking for a piece that is a true one-of-a-kind or something more affordable to add to your collection.

Necklaces

Whether dainty and delicate or glam and bold, vintage necklaces run the gamut in style. From the roaring twenties’ Art Deco designs to the Victorian age’s often somber themes, and the more modernist Art Nouveau style that swept over much of Europe with its natural forms and curved lines, Roman Malakov has many options in-store and online for those seeking a gorgeous new antique pendant.

Despite their vast differences, these styles are united in that they all are second-hand and have been worn at one point or another. In the world of jewelry, the terms vintage, estate and antique are often used interchangeably, but to distinguish them from each other requires a closer look at when they were made. In general, all pieces that are less than 30 years old can be considered estate jewelry but to be called an antique, it must have been crafted more than 100 years ago. This is when the piece truly becomes an heirloom.

Brooches

When you think of brooches you probably envision Grandma wearing her collection around your neck. But these gorgeous jewelry pieces were actually used in a very similar way to today’s buttons: to connect and close clothing.

Vintage, estate, and antique are all terms you might hear when looking at second hand jewelry. But what exactly distinguishes one from another? It largely depends on when the piece was crafted.

For instance, the 1920’s and 1930’s are known as the Art Deco period. The style was very symmetrical and most often made in white gold. It’s also when we see the introduction of more organic structures and less expensive gemstones.

Earrings

Vintage and antique jewelry is a great option for anyone looking to add some style to their wardrobe. It is also a great way to save money, as it tends to be cheaper than newer jewelry. There is a difference between vintage and antique jewelry, though, so it’s important to understand what the terms mean before making a purchase.

For instance, vintage jewelry is usually older than contemporary pieces and may show some wear or have beads missing. Antique jewelry, on the other hand, is crafted more than 100 years ago and is often more expensive than vintage pieces.

Bracelets

Vintage bracelets are a stunning adornment that captures the beauty and cultural history of an era. Whether delicate and intricate or bold and brilliant, antique bracelets reflect the devotion to craftmanship that defined their time period.

Whether you’re looking for a bangle, cuff, or chain and link bracelet, discovering the perfect piece is an exciting endeavor. A reputable jewelry specialist in NYC’s Diamond District or online marketplace will be able to help you find a unique antique bracelet that fits your style and budget.

These Dacian gold bracelets were found in a small village in Romania. The XRF analysis results, combined with stylistic and historical arguments, showed that they were probably made of unrefined Transylvanian native gold – natural panned gold that was mixed with primary gold using primitive metallurgy. Interestingly, these bracelets show significant amounts of silver and almost no copper, suggesting they were not intentionally alloyed. The bangles were most likely manufactured by BH Britton and Sons, the same manufacturer that introduced the Bonklip bracelet, which gained a cult following after it was fitted to Rolex watches in the 1930s and 1940s.
